Paul Downing
Founder and Head Coach of PD Coaching
Paul is very passionate about the holistic development of young footballers and because of Paul's admiration for football coaching and development, this has motivated him into founding PDCoaching and his own grassroots football club Beswick CFC. Born and raised in East Manchester (Beswick), Paul's desire is to create footballing opportunities and bring competitive football to his local community. Alongside everything else, Paul is also an Academy Representative for Manchester City Football Club.

Coaching Career Highlights
Paul’s biggest coaching highlight and rightly so, is the founding of PD Coaching and Beswick CFC. Paul is also familiar with the girl’s game too, after spending three seasons with Droylsden Juniors Girls U14-16’s. Paul led his team to 2 League titles, 2x League Cups and 1x Manchester FA County Cup.. Paul was recently awarded 'Manchester Coach Of The Year Award 2022".

Paul has coached in 12 states across the U.S.A over two summers (2015 & 2017).

Sam has a love for all things football, and a passion for developing and nurturing talent in children’s football.

Coaching Career Highlights
Sam has only recently started his coaching journey. He started out at an u13’s team, Prestwich Renegades, before becoming the coach of Beswick CFC u7’s Whites. Sam is delighted to have been given the chance to coach at PDCoaching and hopes to further his coaching knowledge and qualifications within the coming year.

"I once travelled through 4 countries (England, France, Belgium and Holland) in 2 days to watch Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League. We lost."
Danny Taylor
Football Coach
Danny is a passionate coach with the desire to challenge and motivate players of all abilities to reach their full potential.
Danny is a sports coach at Tameside college where he teaches PE/Sports in the mainstream setting but mainly to the students with disabilities and/or complex needs within the college.

Coaching Career Highlights
Danny is actively coaching an u8’s football team at a local grassroots club (Droylsden Juniors). Danny takes pride in player development and has played a significant role in creating opportunities for his players to experience academy and pre-academy football.

"Growing up my favourite footballer was Wayne Rooney and I used to scream ‘Rooneyyyyy’ whenever I was going to smash a football"
Nelson has a desire to coach and develop the future of football. Nelson prides himself in bringing that FUN factor and helping all players enjoy their time every time they step onto a pitch with PDCoaching.
Alongside PDCoaching, Nelson works as a School Sports Coach/Teacher in a Primary School and is also a volunteer football coach for Beswick CFC.

Coaching Career Highlights
Nelson has twice travelled to the USA to coach football in the summers of 2015 and 2017. Covering 10 states, he coached children aged from 4-16 years of different abilities and backgrounds.

We proudly offer the opportunity of PARTICIPATION in organised football through Private 1:1 Sessions, Group Sessions, Holiday Camps and we also offer links to grassroots football teams within Beswick and the East Manchester area.
